Karl Rutherford

Karl Rutherford is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in supply chain management and business development, currently serving as the National Special Projects Manager at Mainfreight since January 2008. In this role, Karl oversees tender responses, manages a dedicated sales team, and develops a Continuous Improvement Program. Previous positions include Branch Manager for 3PL Services and National Relationship Manager, where Karl was recognized as Relationship Manager of the Year in 2010. Earlier career highlights include a professorship in International Trade at Hannam University, project management at Prudential Financial, and foundational roles at Royal Bank of Scotland and Mainfreight. Karl holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Management and Leadership from The University of Waikato and a Master’s degree in Innovation & Entrepreneurship from Jonkoping University.
