Mark O'Connor

Mark O'Connor is an experienced Business Intelligence professional with a diverse background in developing and implementing BI strategies. Currently serving as the Business Intelligence Team Lead at MainPower New Zealand Limited since January 2020, Mark is responsible for leading the development of a new data warehouse and creating a comprehensive analytics platform in Tableau, along with expanding the analytics user base. Prior to this, Mark held various roles at Media24 from October 2009 to January 2020, including IT Manager for Business and Operational Analytics and BI Project Manager, focusing on enterprise data warehouse expansion, operational ETL support, and dashboard development. Mark's earlier experience includes the position of BI Solutions Manager at Old Mutual. Mark holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Science with specializations in Information Systems and Computer Science from the University of Cape Town.
