Matthew Barton

Matthew Barton, PE, LEED GA is an experienced Civil Engineer who has worked in both public and private sectors, specializing in areas such as solid waste, data centers, and education. Matthew currently serves as the Director of Civil Engineering at Mainstay Engineering, where they lead a team dedicated to mission-critical projects. With a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of South Carolina-Columbia and an Associate’s Degree from Midlands Technical College, they have substantial expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydraflow, and WaterCAD. Matthew has previously held positions at firms such as Stantec and CLH design, and served in the United States Marine Corps as a Corporal and Crew Chief in Aircraft Rescue Firefighting. In personal pursuits, Matthew enjoys hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking, and building computers.
