Rossana Airoldi

Rossana Airoldi has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several decades. In 1988, they worked as a Printer's firmware developer at Compuprint. From 1995 to 1997, they served as a Firmware Engineer at Bull Information Systems, where they specialized in developing boot firmware and became an expert in Open Firmware. Rossana then moved to IBM in Austin, Texas, in 1997, where they worked as a Software/Firmware developer, focusing on the development of the Converged Service Processor (CSP) for IBM mainframes. During their time at IBM, they were responsible for the hot plug functionality of the mainframe's PCI boards. Rossana continued their career at CiaoLab Technologies S.p.A. in 2000, taking on the role of Software Configuration Manager. Here, they led the development of a remote firmware upgrade tool for Set Top Boxes and customized configuration management operations using Pearl scripting. Additionally, they worked as a Technical Writer. In 2005, Rossana joined Thales Italia as an Embedded Software Senior Developer. Rossana'sresponsibilities included Linux and Windows CE development, specializing in ticket vending machines and contactless cards. From 2008 to 2016, they worked at ADB as an Embedded Software Integrator and Team Leader. In this role, they led a team responsible for the firmware of Set Top Boxes for Ericsson IAP customers, as well as customization, troubleshooting, and bug fixing of Access Gateways. Rossana'swork involved Sigma Designs SMP8654, Linux OS, and functionalities such as IPTV, VOD, PVR, DTT, and Time Shift capabilities. Rossana then joined Globalcom Engineering S.p.A. (MADIC group) in 2017 as a Software Engineer, before becoming Customer Support Manager at GLOBALCOM ENG in 2018. Most recently, they joined MainStreaming in 2023 as a Technical Account Manager.

Rossana Airoldi began their education journey in 1980 at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, where they pursued a degree in Electronic Engineering. Rossana successfully completed their studies in 1986, thus earning their Engineer degree in the field. Additionally, Rossana Airoldi obtained two additional certifications, Agile Project Management and Managing Your Time, from LinkedIn in October 2016.
