Founded in 2012 by Elise Pioch Balzac, Maison Balzac was created with the intention to create visceral experiences through touch and scent. Evoking memories of Elise’s childhood spent in the South of France, the brand aims to capture the sense of unbounded freedom, unrestrained joy, and (always!) the unexpected surprises that accompany unhindered childhood adventures in nature and at home. 

Imagining each collection as a way to capture and distil memories through the mediums of wax, glass, marble and incense; each product houses a unique story and is brought to life through the careful craftsmanship of master makers from Australia, France, China and Japan. 

Each Maison Balzac object acts to highlight the idiosyncrasy of Elise’s world as she notes “they are like Proust’s madeleine for me! I named the brand after my grandparents, André and Jeanine Balzac, who loved me unconditionally and surrounded me with beauty and balance.” 

Drawing on her background in fashion, Maison Balzac is a culmination of a lifetime pursuing the rare and beautiful.
