Ricardo Dutra

They are a University Lecturer at Aalto University (Department of Art & Media) and a Guest Researcher at the Interpresence Institute, Umeå University, with a focus on social design, social arts, artistic research, co-design, and practice-based design research. They co-founded Make Aware Lab, a social design studio that supports people and systems in times of transition, through methodologies rooted in design, the body, arts, and nature. They held an MFA in Transdisciplinary Design from Parsons School of Design, New York, and a PhD in Design for Transformative Education from Monash University (Emerging Technologies Research Lab, Melbourne). They completed a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering at UFES (Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo).
