Jonathan Bannister has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Jonathan is the Founder, Strategist, Facilitator, Trainer, and Executive Coach at Make Happy, a creative facilitation and innovation consultancy. Their responsibilities include organizing strategy workshops, conducting opening sessions for conferences, and providing online workshops and services. Jonathan is also a Trustee at St Michaels Fellowship, where they support families in breaking intergenerational cycles of poverty and underachievement. Additionally, they have worked as a Tangent Learning Partner at Tangent, Trinity's Ideas Workspace, a Core Faculty at Creative Education Foundation, and a Trainer in LEGO® Serious Play® Methods at Strategic Play UK. Jonathan previously served as the Interim Head of Marketing at Stylus Innovation & Advisory and as the Founder and Strategy Director at Typhoon Creative Partnership. Prior to that, they held roles as Managing Director at Eyeland Film and as a Strategic Planner and Account Manager at Leo Burnett Hong Kong. At Leo Burnett, they helped establish the planning department in Hong Kong and China and worked with clients such as P&G, Reebok, and McDonald's.
Jonathan Bannister received a BA (Hons) in Geography from UCL, where they studied from 1987 to 1990. Prior to that, they attended Stowe School from 1982 to 1987. In addition to their formal education, Jonathan has obtained several certifications, including "The Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching" from Henley Business School in 2023, "Creative Problem Solving Level 2" from the Creative Education Foundation in 2022, and various other certifications in collaboration, problem-solving, and business development.
