Barbara Spampinato

Barbara Spampinato has extensive work experience in regulatory compliance and engineering. From 2015 to the present, they have worked as a Senior Regulatory Compliance Engineer at MakerBot®, where they oversee all aspects of compliance, including safety, EMC, radio, materials, supply chain, global market access, and waste management.

Prior to joining MakerBot®, Barbara worked at UL Inc., LLC from 1987 to 2013. During this time, they held the position of Senior Engineering Associate and played a crucial role in instructing staff members and clients on standards testing, application, and compliance. Barbara also developed strong relationships with customers, colleagues, laboratory personnel, and administrative staff, which enabled their to build an effective network to meet 97 percent of client deadlines. Additionally, Barbara led collaboration efforts to improve global data-sheet packages and construction review documents, resulting in more streamlined reporting and analysis, saving time and decreasing customer costs.

Barbara Spampinato pursued their undergraduate education from 1980 to 1984 at Queens College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Computer Science. Later, in 1988 to 1989, they pursued graduate studies in Operations Research at the New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering.
