Genie Botha

Genie Botha has a diverse work experience in the design field. Genie currently holds the position of Head of Product Design at MakeReign | An Interface Company since March 2021. Prior to this, they worked at King James Digital from June 2014 to March 2021, initially as a Design Director at PUNK and later across digital product and digital marketing after the merger with Society. From 2007 to 2014, Genie worked as a Lecturer in Design History part-time at AAA School of Advertising. Genie also gained experience as an Art Director/Designer at Isobar South Africa from May 2011 to May 2014, and as a Freelance Designer and Art Director with a retainer at Isobar in Cape Town from January 2011 to April 2012. Genie served as the design lead at GSDH, a German agency in Cape Town, from September 2008 to March 2011, and briefly worked as a Lecturer in design history at Rosebank College in August 2008. Genie started their career at HelloComputer as a Designer from January 2007 to August 2008, where they were involved in multiple award-winning projects, showcasing their creative design skills with a focus on motion and pushing boundaries.

Genie Botha completed their education from 2000 to 2003 at the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria. Here, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts, specializing in the field of Fine Art. In 2006, they furthered their education by acquiring a Multimedia diploma from City Varsity.
