Daniil Polykovskiy

Daniil Polykovskiy is a seasoned technology professional currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff at MakerMaker.AI, focusing on building artificial general intelligence since February 2025. Prior to this, Daniil held multiple leadership roles at Insilico Medicine from May 2017 to February 2025, including Senior Director of Technology, where responsibilities involved unifying product management practices and enhancing update delivery timelines. As IT Director, Daniil launched Chemistry42, a generative AI platform, and as a Team Lead/Senior Research Scientist, spearheaded the deep learning team and developed machine learning frameworks. Daniil's earlier experience includes lecturing on neural networks at Mail.ru Group and co-authoring a Coursera course in Bayesian Methods for Machine Learning, attracting over 60,000 students. Daniil holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Higher School of Economics, and both an MSc in Machine Learning and a BSc in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Lomonosov Moscow State University.
