Amy Tom is currently the Director of Operations at Makers. Amy was previously a Biologist II at the California Academy of Sciences, where they led the penguin team for 6 years. Amy has been interviewed by the media on various occasions and is considered an expert in their field. Amy has also created a database in Google Sheets to record all animal events, which they use to analyze trends and make decisions about the care of the animals. In addition, Amy has developed and implemented training processes to provide enhanced care for the animals at the California Academy of Sciences.
Amy Tom has a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
