Joseph Catanzarite is fascinated by methods for discovering and exploiting patterns in data. He is passionate about training the next generation of Data Scientists and building an organic Data Science learning community at Make School. Joseph obtained a BSc in Mathematics at Caltech and holds an MS in Physics (U of Arizona) and a MS in Electrical Engineering (USC). He has worked as Professor of Physics & Astronomy and Natural Sciences Department Chair at Cypress Community College, an Astrophysicist at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and a Data Scientist on NASA's Kepler mission.

Students earn a Bachelor’s in Applied Computer Science while studying liberal arts, computer science theory, and product development.
