Fikri Karim

Fikri Karim is currently a software engineer at Landing Lion. Fikri previously worked as an intern at blik GmbH from January 2019 to May 2019 and at Nimble from June 2018 to December 2018. At blik GmbH, Fikri profiled the main React app performance, tracked down the issue, and improved the rendering performance by 3.7x. Fikri also enabled end-to-end tests on CI, wrote down tests with >79% coverage for the whole application features. Additionally, they helped design and deploy two out of three company’s major features. At Nimble, Fikri implemented real time chatting, trust and block system, and real-time updates on a cryptocurrency exchange project. Fikri also reduced the CI testing time from 39 mins to 13 mins on a 3-year-old project and dockerized the testing environment. Furthermore, they built a fruit detection machine-learning-powered web application using Keras and Tensorflow.js on company's hackathon day. Fikri won Nimble’s hackathon and got a free ride to RubyConf Malaysia 2018.
