Hojin Lee

Machine Learning Engineer at MakinaRocks

Hojin Lee has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering and data engineering. They began their career as a Software Engineer at SimTech Systems (MindMapper) in 2000 and worked in this role until 2001. They then joined Vurtualtek as a Software Engineer from 2001 to 2003. Hojin then worked as a Freelance Software Engineer at Nanum Technologies from 2003 to 2004 before becoming a Freelancer at Techave for a brief period in 2004.

In 2005, Hojin joined SK Innoace as a Senior Software Developer and worked there until 2008. During their time at SK Innoace, they gained experience as a Senior Software Developer.

From 2008 to 2021, Hojin held the position of Chief Software Engineer at LG Electronics, where they spearheaded teams and handled the software development life cycle for six projects. They also developed vision recognition software for robots using deep learning and conventional algorithms, as well as designed and developed an audio defect detection system for LG mobile factory with a 98% accuracy rate.

Following their tenure at LG Electronics, Hojin worked as a Data Engineer at Z ENTERPRISE from 2021 to 2023. Currently, they are employed as a Machine Learning Engineer at MakinaRocks, starting in 2023.

Hojin Lee obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a university from 1995 to 2000. In 2017, Hojin completed a Nanodegree Foundation program in Deep Learning from Udacity. In 2021, Hojin also completed a Nanodegree program in Natural Language Processing from Udacity.

Hojin Lee has additional certifications in various topics related to machine learning and deep learning. In August 2018, Hojin obtained a certification in Convolutional Neural Networks from Coursera. In May 2018, a certification in Sequence Models was obtained from the same platform. Hojin also obtained a certification in Structuring Machine Learning Projects in January 2018. In December 2017, a certification in Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization by deeplearning.ai was obtained. Lastly, in November 2017, a certification in Neural Networks and Deep Learning was obtained as well, all from Coursera.
