John Wei

John Wei, PhD, MBA, currently serves as a Senior Director at Applied Materials since October 2020. In addition to this role, John holds several positions as a Board Observer for multiple companies, including Rescale, Infinitum Electric, Cornami, Inc., MakinaRocks, and Spectrum Materials Corporation Limited. John also serves as a Board Member for Electroninks Incorporated and has previously observed the board of Leading Edge Equipment Technologies and Inpria. Prior to joining Applied Materials, John spent six years at SABIC focusing on venture capital investments in various sectors including petrochemicals and advanced manufacturing. John holds an Executive MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Rutgers University, and completed programs at Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School.
