George S.

George S. has a diverse work experience. George co-founded and served as the CEO of Makini, a company they started in 2019. Prior to that, they worked at P&O Maritime Logistics, where they held the role of a Data Science Specialist from February 2018 to July 2019. During their time at P&O Maritime Logistics, they were involved in various departments and business units, focusing on business analytics, digitization initiatives, business intelligence, and data governance. Before joining P&O Maritime Logistics, they worked as part of the Marine and Crewing Operations team, where they managed HR projects for sourcing and onboarding. Prior to that, George worked as an Engineering Officer at Chevron from August 2014 to August 2015. George also held the position of Vice President in the development of Specialized Units at AIESEC from October 2013 to April 2014. In addition, they gained experience as a Junior Marine Officer at Stichting Zeilschip Eendracht from February 2013 to April 2013.

George S. has a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering from STC Group and the Kazakh-British Technical University. George also completed an alumni program at Antler in 2020 and an alumni program at Entrepreneur First in 2019. In terms of certifications, George has obtained various qualifications such as Introduction to Marketing and Introduction to Operations Management from Coursera Course Certificates, as well as several maritime-related certifications from STC Group, including Engine Room Resource Management, Advanced Fire Fighting, Security Training for Seafarers with Designated Duties, Basic Training for Oil and Chemical Tanker Cargo Operations, Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats, Basic Training, Security Awareness Training, Medical Care, and Medical First Aid.
