Tom West

VP, Marketing at MākuSafe

Tom West is currently the VP of Marketing at MākuSafe. Tom has previously worked as a marketing executive at WPA Analytics, Agility Learning Group LLC, and AIM Learning Group.

During their time at AIM Learning Group, they were responsible for the start up, operations, and performance of the company. Tom successfully led a staff of direct salespeople, channel salespeople, fulfillment workers, marketers, accountants, production workers, and administrative employees. Tom reported directly to the company president, who was located outside of the US, and to the Board of Directors based in Manhattan, NYC.

Tom West served clients globally with offices in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, and with a strategic alliance with a partner in London. Tom was the exclusive representative of Video Arts product line for North America. Tom established and maintained successful relationships with 150 domestic distributors/resellers and 100 international distributors/resellers, as well as with more than 20 vendors/creators of copyrighted business training materials and intellectual property.

Tom achieved all staffing, marketing, distribution, and sales objectives after the initial start-up phase. This resulted in the company growing from zero sales with considerable overhead to a $4MM+ operation which was profitable despite a down economy.

Tom West works with Mark Frederick - CTO & Co-Founder, Matt McMullen - Director, Hardware Product Development, and Nikhil Agarwal - Director, Data Science. Their manager is Gabe Glynn, CEO & Co-Founder. and Nicole Torstenson - Marketing & Communications Manager reports to Tom West.
