José López

José López, M.D., is a Full Member of the Bloodworks Northwest Research Institute and is a Professor Medicine, Division of Hematology at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He joined Bloodworks in 2006 and is the Executive Vice-President of Research. Previously he was the Vice-Chair of Medicine for Research and was the Scientific Director of Thrombosis Research Section, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. Areas of Study in the Lopez Lab include platelet adhesion and von Willebrand factor, platelets in inflammation, and Blood vessel blockages in sickle cell disease.
