Mike Muchard, P.E., is currently the Chief Engineer for Malcolm Drilling, where they focus on Design-Build and Design-Assist deep foundations, as well as providing technical support to regional district offices. Previously, they co-founded Applied Foundation Testing LLC in 1997, serving as Vice President until 2023, when the firm was sold to Smart Infrastructure Group. Muchard has extensive expertise in specialty geotechnical testing methods, including Statnamic load testing and various non-destructive testing techniques. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical from the University of South Florida in 1990.
