Charles Oppermann has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in different companies. Charles started their career as a Program Manager at Microsoft Corporation, where they were responsible for speech programming interfaces in Windows Vista and Windows 7. Charles then worked at Zetta Systems as a Program Manager, managing the testing and shipping of enterprise-level network storage solutions.
At Amazon.com, Charles served as a Technical Program Manager, overseeing the development of the Amazon.com ecommerce platform. Charles later joined Tech Data as a Developer Consultant, working on a project to improve a large-scale custom SharePoint application.
Charles also worked at GFI Software as a Software Development Manager and later as a Program Manager for consumer security products. Charles continued their career at ThreatTrack Security Inc., where they were responsible for the popular VIPRE Antivirus and VIPRE Internet Security products.
Before joining Malwarebytes as the Director of Windows Engineering, Charles worked at ThinkDirect Marketing Group as the Director of Software Development. In this role, they led a team of database developers to modernize line-of-business applications and was also responsible for all IT Development Department activities.
Throughout their career, Charles has shown strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and experience in delivering high-quality products.
Charles Oppermann attended the University of South Florida from 1985 to 1986, where they studied Computer Engineering. Prior to that, from 1984 to 1986, they attended Pasco-Hernando Community College, focusing on Mathematics and Computer Science. Charles obtained their high school degree in Computer Engineering from Hernando High School in 1983. Additionally, in 1989, they obtained a Private Pilot certification from the Federal Aviation Administration.
