Samer Samarah

Samer Samarah is an accomplished compliance and risk management professional, currently serving as the Compliance, Risk & BCM Director at Manafa since May 2019. In this role, Samer has successfully led the application for multiple licenses and permits from the Capital Market Authority (CMA) and Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA), while also developing innovative compliance technology solutions that automate business governance, risk, and compliance tasks. Additionally, Samer chairs the cyber security committee, where contributions have significantly enhanced SAMA’s Cyber Security Maturity Level to the highest in the industry. Samer also serves as the Secretary for both the Board of Directors and the Shariah Committee, ensuring effective communication and adherence to policies. Prior experience includes roles as Compliance Officer at Abyan Capital and Board Secretary at Sukuk Capital. Samer holds a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Law (Shariah) from the Islamic University of Madinah.
