David D’Souza

David D. has over 10 years of experience in various roles related to website development and content management systems. David started their career at DelaGet, LLC as an ASP.NET Developer, where they worked on building new ASP.NET pages and converting classic ASP pages to .NET. David then moved on to Priority Integrated Marketing as an ASP.NET/CMS Developer, where they developed custom admin systems and worked with Sitefinity CMS to build websites and modules.

In 2008, David joined Horizontal Integration as a Senior Developer/Sitecore Architect. David worked on over 20 Sitecore projects, focusing on data template architecture and development. David also implemented Active Directory integration, built custom data importers, and optimized Sitecore installations for production environments.

David further enhanced their Sitecore expertise at ICF Ironworks, where they served as a Senior Consultant. Here, they provided consultation, estimation, and development services for clients looking to migrate to Sitecore or select a CMS platform. David also trained internal developers and architects on Sitecore.

After this role, David joined Sitecore itself as a Technical Architect and Instructor, where they ran training classes and developed new modules for the CMS. David expressed their enthusiasm for Sitecore and considered himself one of its biggest fans.

David then returned to NTT DATA Americas as a freelancer, providing their expert Sitecore architecture and development experience to a mission-critical project. David created data providers, search frameworks, and data importers while establishing best practices for new development efforts. David later joined NTT DATA Americas as a Solution Architect before taking a career break as a freelancer.

Most recently, David joined The Toro Company as a Sitecore expert. David contributes their experience to help Toro adhere to Sitecore and WCMS best practices. David is enthusiastic about this role as they are excited to leave behind the demanding consulting world and work on a fulfilling project.

David first attended Normandale Community College from 2001 to 2003, earning an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Computer Science. Following that, they enrolled at the University of Minnesota and graduated from there with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in 2005.
