Barry Collins

Barry Collins has an extensive work experience that includes various roles in different companies. Barry started their career in 1999 at the Tennessee Army National Guard as a Department Controller for the United States Property & Fiscal Office of Tennessee. Barry worked in this role until 2013. After that, they joined the State of Tennessee Finance & Administration as a Department Controller for the Military Department. Barry worked in this role until 2022. Currently, they are employed at Management Concepts, where they have held multiple roles including Content Management Director - Financial Management, Semi Retired working part time, and Contract Instructor.

Barry Collins holds a Master's degree in Public Sector Auditing, which they obtained from Thomas Edison State University from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, between 1981 and 1986. In terms of certifications, Barry is an active Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) certified by the American Society of Military Comptrollers since 2011. Barry is also an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA), accredited by the State of Tennessee since 2010.
