Garrett Lander has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Garrett started their career as a Junior Software Developer at Gerald Metals, where they worked with VBA to support daily trading activities. At Manceps, Inc., Garrett served as the CTO & Machine Learning Consultant, providing enterprise clients with intelligent agent automations and solutions using deep learning, cloud compute services, and container management technologies. Garrett oversaw and advised consulting teams in discovery, design, and implementation phases. Before that, Garrett was a student at Springboard, focusing on the data science career track and gaining experience in data wrangling, data storytelling, and predictive imputation. Prior to that, they worked as a playwright and screenwriter, collaborating with independent producers to develop speculative projects for film, theater, and television. Throughout their career, Garrett has demonstrated their ability to interpret client needs and translate them into business requirements, as well as balancing the challenges of an autonomous role in a collaborative industry.
Garrett Lander completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Operations Research from Columbia Engineering from 2003 to 2007. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) degree in Dramatic Writing from New York University between 2008 and 2010. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer certification from Google in January 2020. Garrett also acquired certifications in Google Analytics, Google AdWords, and Google Shopping from Google in June 2015. Furthermore, they completed various courses in data analysis, statistical inference, data manipulation, data visualization, and statistics with R from DataCamp.
