Jim Cornell

Jim Cornell is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in technical instruction and cybersecurity consulting. Currently serving as a Senior Technical Instructor at Mandiant, which is part of Google Cloud, Jim focuses on training customer teams through Mandiant Academy. Previous roles include Adjunct Instructor at North Carolina State University, Manager of Cyber Security Consulting at Ernst & Young, and Global Active Defense Manager at EY, where Jim led proactive defense initiatives. Additional experience encompasses cybersecurity expert positions at organizations such as Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Engility Corporation, and Alvarez & Marsal, as well as roles within the U.S. Department of Army as a Senior Forensic and Malware Analyst. Jim holds a BA in Administrative Management from the University of Oklahoma and has contributed to significant cybersecurity advancements throughout a diverse career.
