Michael A. is a security and software engineer with extensive experience in the cybersecurity field. Currently employed at Mandiant, part of Google Cloud, since June 2021, Michael has held roles as a Software/Detection/Security Engineer and Software/Detection/Research Engineer. Prior to this, from 2018 to June 2021, Michael worked as a Security Researcher for Microsoft Defender for Endpoint. Michael's earlier experience includes serving as a Malware Reverse Engineer and Research Assistant at the CERT Division of the Software Engineering Institute from August 2012 to July 2018. Michael holds a Master's Degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from Carnegie Mellon University, attained between 2014 and 2016, and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh, completed in 2014.
