Brian Grubbs worked for Mango Materials from 2013 to 2014. In 2013, they were an Engineering Intern. In 2014, they held three roles at Mango Materials: Senior Data Engineer, Senior Polymer and Process Engineer, and Polymer and Process Engineer. As Senior Data Engineer, they built the company's end-to-end data pipeline from scratch and continually investigated and evaluated new database and data processing solutions. Brian also designed, built, and maintained data analysis programs and interactive data visualization apps. As Senior Polymer and Process Engineer, they started the Material Properties department and managed a team of Research Associates and Technicians in biopolymer formulation development. Brian also designed and executed experiments to inform product development process and analyzed experimental data using R. As Polymer and Process Engineer, they developed assays for quantification of various nutrients in bacterial fermentation samples, performed regular bacterial fermentation sampling, and tested separation techniques for purification of biopolymer from bulk fermentation.
Brian Grubbs obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley College of Engineering in 2014.
