Chami Amarasinghe

Chami Amarasinghe is currently the Manager of Plant Health and Diagnostics at the Government of Manitoba. They have previously served as a Research and Development Specialist in Agricultural Genetics at the same organization and worked as an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Kelaniya. Chami holds multiple degrees in Plant Pathology and Molecular Biology from the University of Manitoba and the University of Kelaniya, respectively. Throughout their academic and professional career, they have received several awards for excellence, including fellowships and travel awards, and they have developed numerous research skills in DNA analysis and laboratory methodologies.
