Stephen Howell

Curriculum Resource Consultant - Inclusion Support Branch/Indigenous Excellance

Stephen Howell has extensive experience in physical education and curriculum development, with a career spanning over two decades. Notable roles include serving as an Administrator and Active Start Coordinator at St. John's Youth Soccer Association, coordinating programs for 400 children. Stephen has also worked for the Government of Manitoba in various capacities, including as a Curriculum Resource Consultant focusing on student mental health and inclusion, and as a Physical Education and Health Education Curriculum Consultant overseeing curriculum redevelopment. From September 2007 to June 2015, Stephen taught K-12 Physical Education and Health Education at the Newfoundland and Labrador English School District and later at Lakecrest Independent School. Additionally, Stephen has academic credentials that include a Master's degree in Kinesiology from the University of Manitoba and multiple Bachelor's degrees in Education, History, Business Administration, and Physical Education from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Currently, Stephen is a Sessional Instructor at the University of Manitoba.
