At Manners & Moves, we believe that confidence grows when young people are taught to lead with kindness, respect, and self-assurance. By modernizing the traditional cotillion, we've created a dynamic program that prepares today's children and teens for real-life success. Through engaging experiences and practical life skills, we empower students to communicate with confidence, build strong relationships, embrace leadership opportunities, navigate social situations, and step into their future with poise and purpose.

Mary Claire Orenic and Peg Van Bree are sisters who grew up in Wisconsin and bring their Midwestern roots and shared passion for youth development to the Manhattan Beach community. As co-founders of Manners and Moves, they created a unique program for children and teens that blends social etiquette with dance, helping young people build confidence, poise, and connection in a fun, interactive environment. Mary Claire is a long-time Manhattan Beach resident, business owner, and health care consultant, with one adult son. Peg has been a healthcare executive and a professor of health care management at several leading academic institutions, and her son is a recent college graduate. Together, they are united by a commitment to helping children develop essential social skills in ways that are engaging, joyful, and empowering.
