Michael Powers

Michael Powers is an experienced technology leader currently serving as the Director of Infrastructure and Cybersecurity Engineering at Manning & Napier since January 2024. In this role, Michael oversees identity management, network security, cloud infrastructure, and corporate security, focusing on strategic initiatives and innovative security solutions. Prior to this, Michael held various leadership positions at Ciena, including Director of Identity Management, where responsibilities included enhancing user experience through zero-trust authentication and extending identity solutions to external customers. Michael's career also includes roles at MHW Group, Legg Mason, DLA Piper, and USF&G, showcasing a strong foundation in IT management and network operations. Michael holds a double Associate's degree in Computer Science and Electronic Technology from Towson University and the Community College of Baltimore County.
