Michael Powers

Michael Powers is an experienced technology executive currently serving as the Director of Infrastructure and Cybersecurity Engineering at Manning & Napier, where responsibilities include leading teams in identity management, network security, and corporate security, as well as advancing strategic initiatives and developing security frameworks. Previously, Michael held various leadership positions at Ciena, including Director of Identity Management, focusing on user experience and zero-trust security frameworks, and also served as Senior Manager of Global Infrastructure, overseeing the implementation of Windows and Linux systems. Earlier career experience includes roles as IT Manager at MHW Group, Manager/Assistant Vice President of Technology Engineering at Legg Mason, and Supervisor of Network Operations at DLA Piper. Michael holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Towson University and a Double AA in Computer Science and Electronic Technology from the Community College of Baltimore County.
