Martijn Weiland

Design Engineer at Manometric

Martijn Weiland has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Stage Urban Technology at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences from September 2018 to February 2019. During this time, they focused on designing a production process using digital production to convert waste wood into a new product. The aim was to create a proof-of-principle for a fully autonomous production process.

Following this, Martijn worked as a Barman at Het Ruiterhuys B.V. from August 2018 to March 2021.

In February 2020, they joined Ahrend for an Afstudeerstage, where they conducted research on new ways of working and education, specifically focusing on adaptive work environments. Martijn created a design concept based on literature studies and user research.

From March 2021 to October 2022, Martijn worked as an Orthopedic 3D Engineer at Manometric, contributing to the field of orthopedics and utilizing 3D engineering skills.

Martijn currently holds the position of Design Engineer at Manometric, starting in October 2022.

Martijn Weiland began their education at Kennemer college from 2009 to 2014, where they completed their Havo. Martijn then pursued further studies at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. From 2016 to 2020, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Industrieel ontwerpen (Industrial design) / Industrieel product ontwerpen. In 2019, Martijn Weiland also completed a Minor program in Industrieel ontwerpen (Industrial design) / Industrieel product ontwerpen, again at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
