John Davis has over 20 years of work experience in the videogame and retail industries. Starting in 1998, they began their career as an Assistant Manager at Signature Theaters, where they supervised 15 employees and managed the cash flow of the theater. In 2004, they moved on to Big 5 Sporting Goods as a Manager Trainee, supervising five employees while managing the high volume store. In 2006, they worked as a Senior Game Advisor at GameStop, Inc., and then as a Customer Service & Logistics at Jack London Bath Gallery, where they procured, delivered and processed orders for the specialized customer base. In 2008, they joined Sony Computer Entertainment of America as a Co-Lead & Software Quality Assurance Analyst, and then in 2009 they returned to Zynga as a Senior Lead Software Quality Assurance Analyst. In 2013, they were a QA Manager at Rogue Play, Inc., and then in 2014 they became a QA Lead at Juicebox Mobile. From 2016 to 2019, they worked at Zynga as a QA Manager, where they stepped in to help increase accuracy and productivity on a live team. Finally, they are currently a QA Manager and QA Lead at Manticore Games Inc.
John Davis attended Heald Business College and San Lorenzo High School, graduating with a High School Diploma in 2017. John also holds certifications from LinkedIn in Communication Tips Weekly, Compassionate Directness, Communicating with Confidence, Communication Foundations, Scrum: Advanced, and Scrum: The Basics, all obtained in 2019. Additionally, they hold an ASTQB Foundation Level certification from the International Software Testing Qualifications Board, obtained in 2017.
