Alan Wang

Alan Wang, FSA FCIA CERA, has extensive experience in the actuarial field, having worked at Manulife from 2016 to 2017 and currently serving as AVP of Hedge Accounting Program Management since March 2023. In previous roles, Alan led the LICAT AXIS implementation project for the Canadian division, conducting audits across various actuarial areas, and developed a sophisticated VITALITY valuation model. As Director of IFRS17 Program Management, Alan facilitated critical project management tasks, bridging gaps between business needs and IT solutions, while also managing change and training initiatives. Alan's academic background includes an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics in Actuarial Science with a Finance Option from the University of Waterloo.
