Amar Bal

Amar Bal is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in financial leadership roles. Currently serving as the Global Head of IT Finance at Manulife since November 2024, Amar provides financial advisory to the Global CIO and manages a $3B cash portfolio. Prior positions include Head of FP&A and Operational Excellence at Upgrade, Inc., where Amar introduced Zero-based Budgeting and oversaw various financial management functions. Amar also held the role of EVP Finance, Planning and Investments at The Citco Group Limited, focusing on FP&A and investment oversight, and has held multiple finance leadership positions at Broadridge, including Head of Finance for the ICS International portfolio. Earlier experience includes an Associate Director Finance role at Bell, managing finance processes for the Wireless division. Amar holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from the University of Toronto Mississauga.
