David Hodkinson is currently the Asia Underwriting Transformation Head at Manulife, where they lead initiatives to modernize underwriting practices across the region. With over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, David has held various roles, including Head of Underwriting Excellence at AIA and senior underwriter at Friends Provident. They began their career as an underwriter at Swiss Re, specializing in the Irish market, and have contributed significantly to automation and innovation in underwriting solutions. David holds a BSc(Hons) in Banking and International Finance from City St George’s, University of London, and is pursuing a DMU(AMS) in Medical Underwriting from CII.
