Emily Upper is passionate about the protection of personal information and the ethical uses of data. They began their career as a Management Trainee and later served as an Assistant Manager at Enterprise from 2008 to 2010. Emily then transitioned to Larche Communications Inc. as a Sales and Marketing Consultant before becoming an Account Manager at Nicol Insurance Inc. from 2012 to 2016. They held various privacy-focused roles at OTIP from 2018 to 2020 and currently serve as the Privacy Director for Group Benefits at Manulife since 2023. Emily earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business/Corporate Communications from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2007.
