Overview

Manutius Group is a Chicago-based consultancy specializing in governance, organizational design, and principles-based change for research libraries and the universities that depend on them.

Founded by Greg Eow — former President of the Center for Research Libraries with previous appointments at MIT, Harvard, and Yale libraries — Manutius is built on the conviction that research libraries succeed when governance is effective, organizational design is coherent, and resources are aligned with mission.

Our services focus on three consequential moments in an institution's life: leadership vacancies, new leader onboarding, and reestablishing mission alignment.

Manutius Group serves a select group of institutional leaders, including library directors, provosts, and boards of directors.

The name honors Aldus Manutius, the Venetian printer-scholar whose guiding principle — festina lente, make haste slowly — informs our approach to change.
