Bran Yip

Bran Yip is a Senior Software Development Engineer at Mapbox since April 2022, responsible for backend maintenance and feature development for various Mapbox services. Prior to this, Bran worked at Numerator from May 2018 to March 2022, holding multiple roles including Software Engineer for Insights, where development of a REST API for a high-revenue SaaS offering was a key responsibility. In earlier positions at Numerator, contributions were made to internal tools and a web crawler library, demonstrating strong technical abilities and innovation through the development of an automation tool generating significant production code. Bran's career began at Kanata Music Academy, where guitar instruction and summer camp counseling were provided from September 2008 to August 2020. Bran holds an Ontario College Advanced Diploma in Computer Engineering Technology from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology, obtained between 2014 and 2017.
