Ian Ward

Ian Ward has extensive experience in the technology sector, currently serving as the Engineering Manager for Search at Mapbox since December 2009, where leadership encompasses the development and operations of the Search service and APIs. Ward's contributions to Mapbox include founding the security teams and scaling the platform to handle billions of requests daily while supporting a vast user base. Prior to Mapbox, Ward co-founded Development Seed, collaborating with various organizations, including the World Bank, to enhance their data communication and operations. Ward's early career included an internship at Green Media Toolshed, and educational qualifications include a BA in International Studies from American University and participation in the New Manager Boot Camp at the University of California, Berkeley.
