Whitney Demetrius is dedicated to eliminating housing discrimination and promoting open and welcoming communities. Currently, they serve as Director of Fair Housing at the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities and are a Board Member for both the Metropolitan Area Planning Council and Metro Housing|Boston. Previously, Whitney held the role of Director of Fair Housing and Municipal Engagement at the Citizens' Housing and Planning Association and served as Deputy Director at the Fair Housing Center of Greater Boston from 2010 to 2018. They earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and African Diaspora Studies from Boston College in 2009.
