Celso Collazo Ruiz

Celso Collazo Ruiz has over 15 years of experience in information security and IT auditing, currently serving as Assistant Vice President & CSO / HIPAA Security Officer at MAPFRE Puerto Rico since February 2009. In this role, Celso leads the development and enforcement of information security policies, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Previous experience includes working as a Senior IT Auditor at MAPFRE Puerto Rico, where significant process assessments were performed, and as an Information Technology Risk Advisor at Barreto & Velez, providing consulting services across the Caribbean. Celso also held a position as a System Process Assurance Auditor at PwC, focusing on technology assurance for various industries. Academic credentials include a BBA in Marketing and Information Systems from Universidad Metropolitana (UMET) and ongoing studies at Academia Discípulos de Cristo.
