Debby Merritt

Debby Merritt, API, has over three decades of experience in the insurance industry, beginning as an Insurance Agent at Timko Insurance Agency from June 1989 to April 2001, where account cross-selling efforts resulted in an average of 15 new applications per week. Subsequently, Debby worked at State Auto Insurance from July 2004 to April 2018, holding various positions including Senior Field Sales Representative and Territory Sales Manager, managing over 150 agencies and building solid relationships to enhance business volumes in Personal Lines and Small Commercial sectors. As an Inside Senior Personal Lines Specialist, Debby underwrote a $9.6 million territory, achieving significant new business growth and a nomination for Personal Lines Specialist of the year. Currently, Debby serves as Ohio Sales Manager at MAPFRE since June 2021. Debby holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from The Ohio State University.
