Leo Bottrill

Leo Bottrill has over 15 years of experience in environmental conservation. Leo started their career in 2001 as a Project Manager for Frontier/Society for Environmental Exploration. In 2004, they moved to Fauna & Flora International as a Project Coordinator. From 2007 to 2013, they worked for the World Wildlife Fund, first as a Program Officer Infrastructure, then as a Senior Program Officer and finally as Manager, Drivers of Environmental Change. In this role, they designed and implemented complex, multi sector geospatial monitoring platforms for a range of environmental topics. Leo also co-produced and directed the film, Heart of Iron. In 2013, they became Director of Moabi, Inc., where they helped communities and organizations build transparency and accountability on complex environmental issues. Since 2017, they have been the CEO and Founder of MapHubs.

Leo Bottrill obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London between 2005 and 2006. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Geography from the University of St Andrews between 1997 and 2001.
