Matthew Gilbert

Matthew Gilbert is a Corporate and Finance Partner at Maples Group in London, where since April 2007, expertise has been applied to corporate, banking, and finance law matters involving British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands entities. Responsibilities include advising on public and private mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, partnership and joint venture arrangements, and various financing structures. Previously, from 2000 to 2007, Matthew served as a Solicitor at Lester Aldridge LLP, providing commercial advice across multiple sectors and leading numerous share and business acquisitions, including significant transactions in the healthcare industry. Matthew holds an LLB (Hons) degree in Law from the University of Reading, obtained between 1996 and 1999.
