Owen Brookman

Owen Brookman is the Group General Counsel at Maples Group since March 2021, where responsibilities include leading the Office of General Counsel and advising the Global Management Committee and various boards on in-house matters. Prior to this, Owen Brookman served as General Counsel and a partner at Grant Thornton UK LLP from November 2003 to December 2019, where leadership of the in-house legal team and management of legal considerations for a large professional services firm were key roles. Owen Brookman has also held positions in insurance litigation at Herbert Geer & Rundle and MinterEllison and began a career in tax consulting at EY. Owen Brookman holds a Bachelor of Laws from The University of Sheffield, a Graduate Diploma in Accounting from Monash University, and has pursued continuing education in law at the University of Melbourne.
