Stephen Watler

Stephen Watler is a Partner in Investment Funds at Maples Group, where they advise on Cayman law. Recognized as a next generation partner and a rising star in The Legal 500, Stephen has served in various roles within the organization since 2007, including Associate and Of Counsel. They previously gained experience as an Articled Clerk at Maples and Calder and completed a secondment at White & Case in Banking and Capital Markets. Stephen holds a GDL/CPE in Law from the University of East Anglia and a BBA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from York University, along with completing the LPC at the College of Law, London, and the Emerging Leaders Programme at Trinity Business School in 2023. Additionally, they are a former President of the Caymanian Bar Association and a member of several professional legal associations.
