Erik Postma is a Manager of the mathematical software group at Maplesoft, where Erik has been working since October 2007. Prior to that, Erik was a PhD student at Eindhoven University of Technology. Erik has a PhD in Mathematics from Eindhoven University of Technology and a MSc in Mathematics from the same institution. Throughout their career, Erik has held various titles such as Senior Software Architect, Software Architect, Senior mathematical software developer, and Mathematical software developer. Erik is responsible for rewriting DAE systems to simulate more efficiently and maintains Statistics and other packages of the Maple product.
