Don Morrison

Don Morrison is an accomplished engineering and technology leader with extensive experience in software development and management. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at MapLight since May 2023, Don oversees the organization's engineering efforts focused on enhancing democracy through data-driven applications. Previously, as Managing Director and Co-Founder of Mutations Limited, Don scaled a successful consulting firm that provided customized software solutions. Don's career includes pivotal roles such as Senior Engineering Manager at Anedot, where oversight of a high-traffic donation platform was key, and as Lead Programmer at Code Creature, LLC, where diverse client engagement was emphasized. Additionally, Don has contributed to academia as an instructor at the University of Nevada, Reno, and has held various pivotal roles at organizations such as New Leaders, Amphora Research Systems, and Reno Diagnostic Centers, building a robust foundation in technical leadership across numerous platforms and languages.
