Jose de Castro

Jose de Castro has been working in the tech industry since 1999. Jose began their career as a Web Developer at Quest Technologies. In 2000, they co-founded eIQ2 and served as Application Architect. In 2002, they joined Spherion as an Application Architect, working with a team of industrial psychologists to develop an adaptive assessment system. In 2005, they joined NetByTel as an Application Architect, helping the company pivot from a professional services organization into a software company. In 2006, they co-founded VoiceReady and served as Chief Architect, then was acquired by Voxeo where they served as Chief Architect for Voxeo Designer. In 2009, they co-founded Tropo, Inc and served as CTO, which was later acquired by Cisco. At Cisco, they served as CTO for Webex Teams and CTO for Spark Platform, where they worked on Spark APIs and the Spark for Developers program. In 2018, they joined Twilio Inc. as Platform Strategy and Chief Architect for Twilio Flex. Currently, they are CTO at Mapped, where they are having fun with graphs and about to shake things up in IoT land.
